DAY 3 - Sunday 23rd August 2009
'Le Belier'

'Le Belier'
The most physical challenge of the weekend and a huge local celebration in La Clusaz. There will be over 3,000 people competing in this 27km run / hike / walk / crawl around the 5 mountains that surround the village of La Clusaz.
There is little road work, it is mainly unmade paths but there is no rock-climbing and the scenery is simply breathtaking.
The race starts in the village square and it is a timed challenge - the clock will stop when the last person from your team crosses the finish line back in La Clusaz village. Every competitor receives a souvenir shirt and the times are published in local press and on the website.
There is no time limit, in past years we have had from 2 hours 18 minutes to 8+ hours. You travel entirely at your own pace - every competitor's goals are different.
Needless to say after a well earned drink and freshen-up the post-event celebrations take place and there will be a prize giving after dinner in a local restaurant.
It's then party time in La Clusaz at the various pubs and clubs around the town.
