For the serious runners among you we will have a gentle training session in La Clusaz if you don't feel like anything too taxing in preparation for Le Belier on Sunday.
Alternatively, you are welcome to spend the day at your own leisure or and this is our very strong recommendation - we offer a fantastic day of activities which really shouldn't be missed.
After breakfast you will leave La Clusaz and head off by coach to Thonon for a morning of Grade 4 white water rafting in 8 man boats with the now legendary "rock jumps" on the way. Amazing fun, great experience. The ability to swim 25 metres is largely the only requirement for this activity. Full kit including wetsuits, helmets and life jackets will be provided.
Quick lunch at the rafting centre and it's back on the coach to Talloires by the beautiful Lake Annecy and an afternoon spent canyoning.
Most people find canyoning the favourite activity, not
too physically demanding and a real "life" experience. Honestly - it is
a "must do" this weekend.
After safety briefing you will be kitted out with wetsuits, harnesses and safety equipment before the first abseil - a stunning 150 feet high waterfall with gushing ice cold water - it is simply breathtaking.
Once down "the big one" you follow the natural path of the canyon taking on a whole selection of natural obstacles including abseils, leaps of faith into small rock pools and water slides/shoots.
There is no pot-holing involved in this exercise, it is all above ground.
2-3 hours later - exhilarated - you exit the canyon.
This truly is an experience not to be missed and has always been the most popular activity of the weekend.
This activity day costs an additional £ 125 per person but it is worth every penny and can enhance your fund-raising ability quite dramatically.
